Billerica Crossings is looking for a compassionate Programming Coordinator in to join our team!

The Programming Coordinator organizes and implements programs designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. The program is intended to fulfill basic psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs while promoting self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment. The Programming Coordinator supports and assists in all necessary programming.

Starting pay: $19.50/hour

Schedule:  Sunday - Thursday

This position is responsible for assisting in coordinating, implementing and evaluating community programming to enhance resident’s experience, while developing and cultivating relationships with current residents, families and with community organizations. Working with the Programming staff, she/he understands resident interests and needs to design and deliver a comprehensive yet innovative activity program focused on the Six Dimensions of Wellness geared to establishing and maintaining Human Connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the Activities Staff to ensure proper execution of planned events
  • Overseeing scheduling of events, trips, meetings, rooms, and group functions
  • Developing, promoting, coordinating and overseeing community events
  • Editing, producing and distributing a monthly community newsletter
  • Participates in plan of care development
  • Responsible for all regulatory practices to meet state guidelines
  • Participates and supports the admission and discharge process.
  • Present and Engaged with residents and families – meal service, family meetings, admissions and discharge

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or related field
  • Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) Certification preferred, but not necessary.
  • Three years' experience in Assisted Living and/or Sub Acute Rehab setting a plus.
  • Certification and/or Experience in Dementia Care preferred.
  • Flexible Schedule- willing to work on weekends and holidays. 
  • Management and Leadership Experience 
  • A Passion for Serving Seniors a Must!
