Benchmark Senior Living at Hamden is looking for a compassionate CNAs and Home Health Aides to join our team! As a Resident Care Associate (CNA/HHA), your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Employment Status: Full-Time or Part-Time

Schedule: 1st Shift (7am-3pm) and 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
  • Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
  • Other duties as needed

Job Requirements

CNA Requirements:

  • Valid CNA license or HHA certificate issued in Connecticut
  • Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
  • Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
  • Willingness to learn!
