Benchmark at Mount Pleasant is a new construction Assisted Living & Memory Care Community located in Thornwood, NY. With a projected open for the end of the year, our team is looking to hire a Director of Business Administration to support Human Resource and Accounting functions for the community.

As the Director of Business Administration you will report to the Executive Director and maintain a close relationship with corporate accounting and Human Resources as well as the Organizational Development teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in HR and an understanding of NY state employment regulations, as well as knowledge and experience with business functions including accounts payables and receivables and payroll processing.

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Responsibilities of the Director of Business Administration include:

  • Acting as the initial point-of-contact for all HR and accounting related matters
  • Managing the recruitment process in your community, including updates in the ATS, outreach to and screening of candidates, and managing the offer and onboarding process
  • Interpreting policies and procedures and communicating them to all employees both proactively and in response to questions
  • Processing A/R and A/P timely
  • Processing monthly billing statements, answering related question from residents and families in a timely manner
  • Processing employee payroll and archiving and discarding payrolls at the end of each cycle
  • Analyzing variances in departmental payroll vs. budget
  • Gathering monthly accruals from department heads
  • Producing proposals and presentation packets

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Director of Business Administration include:

  • 2-year degree in a Business-related field; 4-year degree from an accredited university in a Business-related field preferred
  • Must have excellent organizational skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Be knowledgeable in regards to ADP payroll systems and basic GL and Accounts Payable systems
  • 3 years of business office experience with HR and accounting
  • Prior Human Resources experience and/or education
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems, a plus
