Job Description

The - EDGEHILL - is looking for a Scheduler to join our team.

The Scheduler is responsible for ensuring the staffing requirements for every work shift comply with both internal and external policies and regulations for the Traditional Assisted Living & Harbor Departments. He or she will also ensure and maintain a par level of office and medical supplies for the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and evaluates staffing requirements according to established criteria and community policies and procedures.
  • Works with the RCD and MMD in developing and executing a work schedule plan that allocates the associates to the appropriate duties and shifts.
  • Communicates and coordinates schedules with associates based on the needs of the community and the associates’ work availability.
  • Finds coverage for vacant shifts due to callouts and/or tardiness.
  • Coordinates associates’ requests for time off for vacation, health & wellness and holidays and endorses them to the RCD & MMD for approval.
  • Developing and maintaining regular reports that have to do with verification of worked hours, overtime, missed punches and requests for leave to ensure that the timecards are accurate for payroll.
  • Report inconsistencies, schedule-related issues and shift/position vacancies to the RCD & MMD.
  • Supports the team in compliance and completion of training and continuing education.
  • Manage the inventory or medical and office supplies for the department from requisition, storage and distribution of supplies for the team.
  • Performs general typing, filing and posting to medical records. Abides by facility confidentiality policies.
  • Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School graduate; Associates degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in a licensed medical facility is preferred.
  • Strong organizational , oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Team Player - Willingness to help when needed
  • Knowledge of office equipment and ability to trouble shoot problems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
