Job Description

Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock in Shelton currently have a full time and part time opening for a Van/Bus driver. This position involves transporting residents to medical appointments as well as taking our residents out on scenic trips, church, restaurants, and other fun excursions!  Must pass a medical evaluation and have a clean driving record and a current Connecticut license with an “F” endorsement.

Pay Rate is based on experience.

Full-time:  Tuesday - Saturday 

Part-time:  Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Needs to be flexible and able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Van Driver Responsibilities:


• Must have a valid CT drivers license with “F” endorsement
• Must pass a CT DOT medical examination
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community
• Maintains a current understanding of procedures if an accident should occur with the van, with or without residents on board
• Follows proper reporting procedures
• Assists residents on trips when not parking vehicle
