The Village at Brookfield Common is one of 60 Benchmark Senior Living Communities. Our 100 apartment community includes both traditional and memory care neighborhoods. We are currently seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals who can contribute to fill full time morning (7a-3p) shift and full time evening (3p-11p) shifts. You must have a valid Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant certificate to qualify for this position

As a Resident Care Associate your primary focus will be to provide nursing care to our residents in a home like setting. If you are a compassionate, friendly, and energetic individual who would like an opportunity to join a growing company please apply for this position!

 

Certified Nursing Assistant will include:

  • Interacting with residents and families on a daily basis 
  • Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents have an exceptional stay
  • Handling advanced directives and end-of-life care
  • Following the Resident Care Standards and Practices to ensure proper procedures are followed
  • Assisting Residents with meals, transferring them using appropriate assistive devices, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid CNA certificate is required! Must have no record of convicted patient/resident abuse with State Registry -Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred
  • Previous experience working with individuals with dementia is desired
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
  • Understands advanced directives and end-of-life care
  • Understands quality of care objectives
  • Understands quality of life objectives
