The Memory Care Specialist reports to the Corporate Director of Memory Care and works in partnership with the Memory Care and Regional Teams to establish and maintain consistent, effective and evidence-based memory care programs and standards across Benchmark memory care communities in northern MA, NH, ME and VT.  The Specialist focus is within all components of memory care: behavioral expressions, programming, dining, and environmental aspects. The Memory Care Specialist has responsibility to advise and support the implementation and/or sustainability of each community’s memory care program. This role is responsible for innovation and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance memory care in assigned communities.  In addition, this role will assist communities to recruit, hire, train and on-board Memory Care Directors and Programming Coordinators.  This role is also responsible for providing support, education, and oversight of assigned communities to ensure compliance with regulatory and Benchmark memory care and programming standards.   

 

Job Requirements

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years memory care multi-site leadership experience
  • Must have demonstrated supervisory, leadership and management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel 80% of the time
  • Must have strong mentoring and coaching skills; ability to inspire and develop others
  • Previous experience of a year or more of supporting multiple senior living communities or five years or more in a senior living community in a leadership or training role is preferred
